NEW DELHI, September 7, 2026: Seven people were killed and several others injured after a five-storey building being used as a student PG collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area on Sunday. The incident triggered a major rescue operation and raised fresh concerns over the safety of residential buildings being used as student accommodation.
Massive Rescue Operation teams :from the Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Service and NDRF rushed to the site after the building collapsed, as people were feared trapped under the debris. Rescue personnel worked through the rubble to locate survivors, while the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.
